My Story

I'm doing the Great North Run for Advantage Africa. This iconic half marathon is on the bucket list of most runners and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to finally run it this year.

After last year's epic challenge when I ran four marathons and an ultra, the focus for 2024 is half marathons, with the highlight being the Great North Run on September 8th. I'm aiming to get back below the 2 hour mark for the first time in a while.

It's my privilege to run for Advantage Africa. Please sponsor me and help vulnerable people affected by poverty, disability and HIV to improve their education, health and incomes.

The founders of this great charity are personal friends and I know the immense difference they're making in poor communities across Kenya and Uganda. Advantage Africa's projects help disabled boys and girls to access education, orphans and vulnerable children to have shelter, healthcare and nutritious food and single parents living with HIV to earn an income and care for their familes. They create lasting change and real hope for the future - and that's why I'm running for them.
