My Story

On 8 September 2024, I'll be joining 60,000 other runners to run the AJ Bell Great North Run - the world’s biggest half marathon.

I'll be running in aid of NHS Charities Together as a way of saying thank you to the NHS for the support it has given to my family over the years, including saving my brother's life when he had cancer as a child.

NHS Charities Together is the national charity helping the NHS to thrive and making sure everyone can get the healthcare they deserve.

⁠Together with over 230 NHS charities across the UK, we’re helping to make healthcare better by:

  • improving patient care
  • ensuring everyone has access to health services and is able to live healthy lives
  • making sure our incredible NHS staff are cared for.
