Action Foundation supports refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants living in Tyne and Wear. Through supported housing projects, sociable drop-in advice sessions, a Young Lives project and an English Learning and Language school, Action Foundation actively tackles homelessness, poverty and isolation in the region.

 

Action Foundation delivers vital support and I have seen how much the work is valued by refugee and asylum seeking communities in the North East. Refugees and asylum seekers face a hostile world and I am proud of the North East in welcoming those in need. I have the particular joy of working for the InterAction Project supporting clients across the region through advice, social integration and volunteering. 

 

It is a joy for to run the Great North Run for this wonderful local charity. This is Great North Run number 7 for me and I can’t wait to run for Action Foundation this year.
