My Story

In May 2021, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), a life-changing moment that presented challenges but also gave me a newfound sense of purpose. This year, I'm taking part in the Great North Run, not just as a runner, but as an advocate for the MS Society, an organization that has been essential in supporting those affected by MS.

For me, running has become more than just a form of exercise; it's a testament to resilience and determination. Despite the difficulties that come with MS, staying active has greatly improved my overall well-being. Through my participation in the run, I hope to raise awareness about MS and inspire others to embrace physical activity as a way to boost both mental and physical health.

I'm thrilled that several of my colleagues from Chadwick Lawrence will also be joining me in the run. Their support and camaraderie have been invaluable.

This journey isn't just a personal one; it's about encouraging everyone to take that first step toward a healthier, more active lifestyle. It's not necessarily about running marathons, but about finding ways to enhances your quality of life through physical activity.

The support I've received from my family and friends has been a crucial part of this journey, fuelling my determination to make a difference.

As I prepare for the Great North Run, I'm reaching out for your support. Any contribution, big or small, will have a significant impact. Your donations will help fund research, provide resources, and offer support to those living with MS. Together, we can work towards a future where MS no longer means uncertainty.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
