My Story
I am running the Great North Run 2024 on behalf of an incredible charity: Young Lives vs Cancer. My motivation stems from my little warrior, Milo (pictured), who, at the tender age of three, is bravely battling neuroblastoma with the angelic support of The Great North Children's Hospital in Newcastle.
Every stride I take is fueled by the resilience of my son and the immense gratitude I feel towards the charity that has been standing by our side since the very beginning. Young Lives vs Cancer has been a beacon of support, offering guidance, resources, and most importantly, a sense of community that reminds us we are not alone in our fight.
Participating in this marathon is more than just a physical challenge; it's a symbol of solidarity with all the families facing similar struggles and a heartfelt thank you to the incredible team of Young Lives vs Cancer who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of children like Milo.
Together, we are not only raising funds but also spreading awareness and hope. This race is not just for me; it's for Milo, for all the children battling cancer, and for a future where each one of them has a chance to thrive.
