My Story

Action Foundation is a brilliant charity which provides support to disadvantaged refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants in the North East.

My football club, Benton FC, chose to support this charity a couple of years ago as you can see on our training tops showcased by yours truly in my photo. 

The charity aims to enable vulnerable migrants to:

• Avoid homelessness and extreme poverty
• Access vital services
• Increase their skills and employability
• Access legal support
• Integrate and live independantly

Action Foundation achieves this with various initiatives, for example free English lessons and employability skills for people seeking asylum, free weekly drop-ins to access advice from other organisations, supported accomodation for newly granted refugees at risk of homelessness, and practical, emotional, and social support for asylum-seeking and refugee children, families and young people.

I am hoping to raise a modest £350 for Action Foundation, and any small donation will be a massive help to get me there!
