My Story

As a migrant myself, I know from personal experience how important it is to join communities where you can find people with similar interests and values. I have been very fortunate to meet many amazing people along my journey and to come to Newcastle for my master’s studies.

I wish everyone had the resources to invest in a better life. This is why, while training for my first half marathon, The AJ Bell Great North Run, I decided to fundraise for Action Foundation. I’ve completed about 300 km of training and hope that this hard work will help me reach the finish line and raise the necessary funds for the charity whose values I truly share.

Action Foundation supports disadvantaged refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants across the North East. Through English lessons, employability advice, socialising meetings, housing, and legal support, Action Foundation enables refugees to overcome challenges, avoid homelessness and extreme poverty, integrate into society, and gain independence.
