Toni Murphy
My Story
My husband Tony was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in 2016. Then in January 2024 he was diagnosed with a second blood cancer. (He was unlucky enough to be diagnosed with another 2 cancers during his investigations for this as well 😬) He is currently going through a combined chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment plan for non-hodgkin lymphoma.
Thanks to all the research there has been into blood cancers, there are treatments available for him which will hopefully give him a long remission period.
I'm running with my son Callum to raise money to help support further research in the future to help all those affected by blood cancers.
We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
